Rising Stars

AlvinRising stars will introduce to the latest up-and-coming authors in our proud fandom. First up is Kelitzo, who has made great waves in the fandom since joining ffnet earlier this year.

Your best fic (in your opinion): Probably If This Isn't Love. I like my drabbles as well, but some of them are a little dodgy. It's hard to be objective about my own writing.

Your favorite fic (someone else's): I really like "Coffee," by Ms Donovan and Ms Moonlight. It has excellent humour value. Also "Who Wants To Live Forever," by xXxTroubleKelpxXx, because it is immeasurably sad. I cried.

WIP (work in progress) of someone you'd like to recommend: Inferno, by Dim Aldebaran is excellent and also educational, in a slightly warped sort of way. :P It's a good read, in any case.

Your favorite author (on ffnet): I don't think I would pick one if I didn't have to, but put on the spot I'd say Tigeress-10. She does great story ideas, and pretty decent grammar and spelling too.

Pairings you ship: TroublexHolly, HollyxArtemis, ArtemisxJuliet are all absolutely dandy with me.

Favorite genre to read a/o write: Romance or humour. Both together are great.

How you found Artemis Fowl: I was looking for a book to read in my primary school library, and Artemis Fowl was shiny. We've been together ever since. *blissful sigh*

How you got started writing fanfiction: I knew about Harry Potter fanfiction from a friend at school, and one day I guess it occurred to me that there might be Artemis Fowl fanfiction too. I read for a while, and then started writing my own - without intending to publish it. That was Wear Iron Shoes, so I guess you can figure how that turned out, heh.

Other parts of the fandom you're involved with (sites, etc): not many. I'm a lurker on Deviantart, but other than that mainly Fanfiction and now the Orion Awards.

Plans for future fics: an action-filled one. Something to do with alternate dimensions, Artemis saving the world, and Sool being really, really evil. I shall tell you no more. I can't tell you a lot more actually, because that's about as far as I've gotten.

One area you want to improve in (as far as writing goes): I think I need to be more concise. I am an awful driveller, and I just go on and on, as you can tell from reading my answers to these questions. After that, my grammar and punctuation both need a little bit of work.

Other interests: Apart from Artemis Fowl? I love writing in general, reading, Pirates of the Caribbean, squash, short-distance running, netball, filming/editing and drawing. I'll try anything that passes time.

In 50 words or less, you can say something to the rest of the fandom: Always try to say something nice when you review, even if it's followed by a "but." And remember - growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.
