Best Overall

The Lost Years, by XrebelxofxthexsacredxheartX. [PG-13, Trouble/Holly, Chix/OC]

All of the characters are really in character, and they have multi-dimensional personalities. The writing is amazing as well, the vocabulary is pretty high up.

Artemis Fowl: The Galactic Adventure, by Jarlaxle Baenre. [PG-13, Trouble/Holly, Chix/OC]

An amazing fiction! It's plot is fantastic and the romance is brilliant! Worth reading!

Legend, Alive, by missLivia. [PG, Holly/Artemis]

The story is very well written and the pace is really good. It is interesting and has an excellent balance between adventure with a bit of romance mixed in.

Dragon Fly Wings, by faery_myst. [PG, Holly/Trouble]

This author writes brilliant poetry, but this is her best, if you ask me. A great romance poem, quite well-written.

Aether, by Blue Yeti. [PG-13, Gryffindor/Root, Julius/Briar]

Because it's awesome and I LOVE it? That's not a great reason, but it iiiiiissss so pretty.

Placebo Pinion, by The White Lily. [PG, Artemis/OC]

Lovely, lovely, lovely. The back and forth motion of the power in the relationship. The denial of it being love. Shiny, shiny, shiny.

Stalked, by VampirePeaches. [PG-13]

It's very differnt to other parodies; characters are actually in character, whilst the intentional Mary Sue runs rampant. it's also very humourous, and the chapters are lengthy without a huge scroll bar. the spelling and grammer is also very good. I'm very glad this authro updated this, as he/she took ages, but it was worth it. I've not nominated before, but I will be doing again.

Consequences of Nightmares, by Foreverforgetful. [PG, Root/Holly]

Best Songfic

Drowning Lessons, by XxTotallyObsessedxX. [PG-13, A/H, H/OC]

Evelyn: This songfic is just too amazing for words. It was just so beautifully written and the writting was so simple yet so complex. Another wonderful achievement by XxTotallyObsessedxX!!

missLivia: Amazing. It's well written and the imagery is just beautiful. It's abstract, but not to the point where the reader is confused beyond belief. I loved it. A lot.

Bullets, by FirexAtxWill. [T, A/H]

Yays. Apparently there are goodfics still being written. I have great hope in humanity.

Anymore, by winged-silhouette. [PG]

Hmm...well, we don't know much about Holly just yet. (I want Time Paradox BAD) But I think this was a good songfic of one author's take of her childhood.

Best Drabble

Madness, by verita dea. [K]

Yet another Insangeline interpretation, yay! One of the well-written plankton, within a sea of badfic - perhaps it's small and can't quite swim on its own, but at least the author can turn a phrase.

Dragon Fly Wings, by faery_myst. [PG, Holly/Trouble]

This author writes brilliant poetry, but this is her best, if you ask me. A great romance poem, quite well-written.

Why?, by hopelily. [PG]

This was absolutely wonderfully written. The idea was quite original and very interesting. An excellent job!

Fragile Cliche, by XxTotallyObsessedxX. [PG, Artemis/Holly]

The entire plot is based upon a well-thought out metaphor. The writing style is marvelous and really draws a picture in the reader's mind. A beautiful story.

Best Short Fic

Love Like Winter, by Dreamlights. [PG, Artemis/Juliet]

Firstly, wow! What a nice contrast to Lily's On Becoming an Axiom! It's basically the same story told from another perspective with ever so slight variations in characterization that make it completely different and equally mind-boggling. Arty's exploration of love was made believable. The characteriztion was great. And it was just so lovely. (Although some of those poem!things could have been cleaner, and the ending could have packed more punch.)

Intersect, by XxTotallyObsessedxX. [G]

Short, definitely sweet, this fic had lovely, slightly flowery descriptions, but the flowery!ness seemed to work since it was describing something so normal/mundane. This fic has potential in its concept, that I'd like to see fully realized. It's also nice to not read angst for a change.

Aether, by Blue Yeti. [PG-13, Gryffindor/Root Julius/Briar]

Because it's awesome and I LOVE it? That's not a great reason, but it iiiiiissss so pretty.

Aphelion, by Dim Aldebaran. [PG, Holly/Juliet, Butler/Artemis II, Briar/Julius, Angeline/Artemis I]

Placebo Pinion, by The White Lily. [PG, Artemis/OC]

Lovely, lovely, lovely. The back and forth motion of the power in the relationship. The denial of it being love. Shiny, shiny, shiny.

Of Roses and Kisses, by HollyluvsArty. [PG, Artemis/Holly, Artemis/Minerva]

This fiction is a Valentine's day fic, and I didn't know what to expect since it was almost September. But it was really sweet, cute, and well written. It portrayed the characters well, and it could make anyone go "Awww!" I would have nominated it under Fluff, but there doesn't seem to be a category... Anway, a great fic. I recommend it!

Best Work In Progress Chaptered Fic

The Lost Years, by XrebelxofxthexsacredxheartX. [PG-13, Trouble/Holly, Chix/OC]

All of the characters are really in character, and they have multi-dimensional personalities. The writing is amazing as well, the vocabulary is pretty high up.

In As Many Words, by windlily. [PG]

I like the characterization of Foaly - he's usually just caricatured as paranoid!techy!genius (because Colfer Said So), without canon events actually being considered. The mysterious OC narrator leaves me wanting to know more about him/her - I'm rather intrigued and curious. I think it's quite an interesting idea to have a human (I assume the narrator is human) to try to get to Artemis through Arty's connection to the fairies. And the writing is very smooth and polished.

Artemis Fowl and the Last Atlantis, by Know My Dark. [PG]

This is the best that I've seen of any fanfiction author pulling off emulating Colfer--everything from his writing style to his blend of adventure and humour. It's very engaging and quite IC, especially the dialogue; I particularly like the author's attention to details such as fairy technology. The mysterious criminal plot enfolds nicely, without becoming melodramatic and cliched.

Legend, Alive, by missLivia. [PG, Holly/Artemis]

The story is very well written and the pace is really good. It is interesting and has an excellent balance between adventure with a bit of romance mixed in.

Artemis Fowl: The Wolfish Incident, by some crazy girl who likes pie. [PG-13, Artemis/Holly]

This is a really good fic. Some crazy girl who likes pie is an amazing writer. I love this fic!

Nevermore, by Xx Artemis Rox mi Sox xX. [PG, Artemis/Holly]

I recommend this story to be nominated for its Best Original Character, Andrea. And for its creativeness, inventiveness, ingenuity, and originality.

Artemis Fowl: Collision of the Worlds, by hopelily. [PG-13, Artemis/Holly]

This is a brilliant piece of work. The plot is very thought out and the characters are spot-on. It's a very enjoyable story and deserves to be recognized.

Thirty Years Later, by Evil Shall Giggle. [PG-13, Holly/Cloned Artemis]

A very original concept; beautifully crafted with good characterisation and plot development. The characters are sympathetically treated, really engaging the reader's emotions. Beautiful. emotive and addictive.

The Iliad of Artemis, by missLivia. [PG-13, Artemis/Other Female Character ]

Veronica is an outstanding original character; she's well developed, humorous, mysterious, and... flawed. Basically, missLivia has created a match for Artemis Fowl. The fiction itself is beautifully composed and interesting, something that's hard to find in stories with original characters. A great piece!

The Private Wound, by Julienne Potato. [PG]

Canonical, coherently plotted, well-researched and brilliantly written. It combines believable action with interesting insights into the characters and a superb style. Wonderful!

The Last Criminal Plot, by MMK. [PG]

The Last Criminal Plot is an absolute masterpiece. It'll have you on the edge of your seat, yelling advice at the characters and begging for more. It has a smooth writing style to rival Colfer's, and is my favourite of all time. It runs so beautifully, and with such a perfect pace that you'll confuse it with canon. MMK shows a perfect backtrack on Artemis' character, and weaves a plotline that is interesting, with no holes. If you can guess what will happen next I'll be very surprised.

The Lost Ones, by jadeddragon212. [PG-13, Artemis FowlXOC]

I thought that it had a pretty good idea. Maybe if it had been better planned...
