When can I nominate fics?

How can I nominate fics?
You can either fill out the nomination form
or post in the in the Orion Awards forums.
Which category should I nominate this fic for?
The list of categories and their descriptions can be found
here.
How many different fanfics can I nominate for one
category?
As many as you like.
For how many categories can I nominate a single fic?
For the judged categories: A single fic may be nominated in up to:
- One Type category
- Two Genre categories
- Four Single Aspect categories
- The Best Overall category
For People's Choice: A single fic may be nominated in any or all PC categories.
Which fics are eligible for nomination?
As these are the 2006 Awards, any fic started, updated, or completed in
2006 is eligible.

Is it required to nominate fics in all divisions?
No. You may nominate in as many or as few categories as you please.
Can I nominate my own fics? May I ask my friends to nominate a
particular work I've written?
Please don't. It undermines the purpose of nominating if everyone submits
their own fics. While there is nothing we can do to stop you, we also
highly discourage pressuring friends or others to nominate one of your
own works. This is dishonest and insulting to other nominees who were
nominated without persuasion.
What should I do if I made a mistake in my nomination?
You can correct or withdraw your nomination by using the feedback form or the forum. Please give your name,
email address, the fic(s) you nominated, the categories you nominated
them for, and the corrections to your original nomination.
How can I nominate a fic that isn't available on a publicly accessible
site?
Please contact the author and ask him or her to submit it to a public
archive such as .
If a fic of mine has been nominated, when should I expect to hear from
you?
We cannot contact everyone immediately, but we will keep the website
updated with the latest nomminations. You can expect notification
no later than a week after nomming closes.
What about poetry? Is poetry allowed?
We do not currently have a category for poetry. However, they are
eligible for all categories except for Type categories. If we receive
enough nominations for poetry, we may create a new category in the
Type division.
